Projects
During my corse load in the AMM department we work on many different project and plans to help us apply what we learn to real word situations. We learn how to make dollar plans, line sheets, we do many projects on Adobe illustrator and express our creativity. We have a couple of classes where we have to make a brand for ourselves and build that brand up through the years. On this page I have show cased some my projects and works from my corse load over the years.
The project below was a project in my retail buying class where we had to chose a department from the store Dillards. We had to allocate inventory and make a spreadsheet. We also needed to do the math of sales and create a buying plan.
This project was for a class we take that allows us how to learn from start to finish how a garment is made and how to create a tech pack. This sample is a sample from our tech pack of a blanket we made. Each group was tasked with making 10 baby blankets, 6 for regular size babies and 4 for preemies. After the class was over we went to the Pomona Valley hospital and donated our final products. We had to create a pattern, markers, source the fabric and labels, produce the blankets, create a packaging and then donate them. It was a fun class and I really enjoyed learning from start to finish how a garment is made.
